For the past fifty-seven years, First State Community Action Agency, Inc. (First State) has worked to help low-income individuals, families and communities throughout the state of Delaware succeed. We have offered a range of critical programs and services to meet the ever-increasing needs of low-income persons, providing them with the tools necessary to become self-sufficient and bringing hope and relief to those devastated by unemployment, homelessness, and hunger.
To reinforce our commitment to helping low-income Delawareans and to commemorate Fifty-Seven Years, First State will host an Anniversary Celebration Dinner and Evening of Elegance on Monday, November 14, 2022. The Annual Dinner will be held at the illustrious Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware. This year’s theme” Hear Our Voices” is symbolic in illustrating collectively the sentiment of our nation and communities.
The evening will feature extraordinary music, gourmet cuisine, exciting auctions, recognition ceremony, and a prominent keynote speaker. This event is also a major fundraiser for the agency. The cost of individual tickets is $125.00.
We are honored to recognize Delaware’s Lt. Governor Bethany Hall- Long as the recipient of our agency’s prestigious Stanford L. Bratten Award. The evening will also include a resounding keynote speaker. In the coming weeks we will announce our Community Partner and Personal Achievement honorees.
